TGA
Bei der thermogravimetrischen Analyse (TGA) wird die Masseänderung einer Probe gemessen, während sie erhitzt, abgekühlt oder auf konstanter Temperatur gehalten wird. Sie wird hauptsächlich zur Charakterisierung von Materialien hinsichtlich ihrer Zusammensetzung verwendet. Zu den Anwendungsbereichen zählen Kunststoffe, Elastomere und Duroplaste, mineralische Verbindungen und Keramik sowie eine Vielzahl von Analysen in der Chemie- und Pharmaindustrie.
Das Herzstück eines thermogravimetrischen Analysesystems ist die Wägezelle. Unsere TGA-Geräte verwenden die weltweit besten Mikro- und Ultramikrowaagen von METTLER TOLEDO. Die internen Kalibrierringgewichte stellen eine unübertroffene Genauigkeit sicher. Sie können Ihre Waage auch mit externen Gewichten kalibrieren und justieren.
Keine andere TGA kann bis zu 50 Millionen Punkte durchgehend messen – die Gewichtsänderungen einer 5-Gramm-Probe werden auf 0,1 µg exakt ermittelt. Sie können also kleine und grosse Proben mit derselben hohen Auflösung messen, ohne den Wägebereich zu ändern.
Die Waage mit Parallelführung sorgt dafür, dass die Position der Probe keine Auswirkungen auf die Gewichtsmessung hat. Wenn sich beim Schmelzen die Position der Probe ändert, werden keine Gewichtsveränderungen gemessen.
Die horizontale Ausgestaltung des Ofens trägt zu einer Minimierung möglicher Turbulenzen bei, die durch thermischen Auftrieb und Spülgas entstehen. Die gasdichte Zelle kann evakuiert und mit einer definierten Gasatmosphäre geflutet werden. Ein derartiges in sich geschlossenes, kontrolliertes System mit genau definierten Bedingungen ist unerlässlich, um eindeutige Informationen und Ergebnisse zu erzielen.
Alle TGA-Versionen können online mit einem Massenspektrometer, einem FTIR-Spektrometer oder einem GC-/MS-System verbunden werden. Die Analyse der gasförmigen Zersetzungsprodukte liefert zusätzliche Informationen über die Probe. Damit erreichen Sie eine zuverlässigere Auswertung von Messkurven.
