What is a strain gauge load cell?
A strain gauge is an electrical resistor that is attached to a strain gauge load cell's internal elements.

What is the working principle of beam load cell / S beam load cell / s load cell? How does a beam load cell work?
Beam load cells, S beam load cell and s load cells work after the same physical principle as all other beam type load cell, but they keep in-load and out-load in one line. This means that no external moments occur which makes them simple to implement. They are mostly used in applications with s type load cell working principle.

A strain gauge load cell is placed within the weighing equipment. It is equipped with strain gauge load cell technology to apply the s type load cell working principle, so as a piece is weighed, the force it applies is measured. The strain gauge load cell deforms or reacts to that force and the strain gauges mirror that deformity and create an electrical signal, which is then measured in a digital format.

What is a shear beam load cell?
Shear beam load cells measure the shear strain in the load cell counterforce. Since this is not a strict definition, the term is often used for any beam load cell and bending beam load cell independent of its measurement principle or load cell s type. Scientifically, shear beam load cells are not more accurate by principle than beam load cells, despite rumors often repeated about them.
