What the FFA™ Algorithm Does
Karl Fischer (KF) titration is the fast, accurate, cost-effective standard for measuring water content. METTLER TOLEDO EVA titrators run the Fast-Forecasting Amperometric algorithm (FFA™), which forecasts titrant addition to cut titration time without sacrificing accuracy.
This White Paper explains the KF technique, then details how the FFA™ controls titrant addition or generation and evaluates the sensor signal. The setup chapter covers the instruments and the key control parameters. The results chapter presents seven water-content determinations: four with the volumetric titrators EVA V1 and EVA V3, and three with the coulometric titrators EVA C1 and EVA C3. A summary closes the paper.
