iC Vision Software
View and Measure Particles in Real Time
iC Vision is a simple, yet powerful, software that enables every scientist to collect and analyze the high-resolution images captured by EasyViewer™ and obtain previously unavailable experimental insights for particle, crystal and droplet systems.
Powerful analytics, developed on an open innovation platform, monitor process changes, quantify particle size and shape, and measure specific particle attributes, all in real time. Data collected in iC Vision is seamlessly integrated across other iC applications, for full experimental capture, consolidation and control.

Effortless Image Capture
An intuitive interface combined with excellent usability makes the capture and analysis of high-resolution EasyViewer images simple.
Smart controls enable unattended operation. One Click™ tools present interesting images, consolidate data-streams and auto-build reports. iC Vision is designed to help boost the productivity of every scientist.
High-Quality Images, Every Time
Monitor process changes or quantify particle size and shape with customized autofocus, auto-lighting, and autosave “best image” algorithms. EasyViewer and the robust iC Vision software use these algorithms to ensure that researchers never fail to record clear, high-resolution photos of significant events, even when working remotely.

Convert Images to High-Quality Data
Image2Chords™ is a separately purchased module for iC Vision that converts high-resolution EasyViewer images to high-quality chord length distributions (CLD’s), trends and statistics that are used to confidently characterize particle mechanisms – nucleation, growth, dissolution, breakage, and morphology change.
EasyViewer with Image2Chords simplifies particle process development by providing an easy-to-use platform for simultaneous imaging and CLD’s in one probe. All users can collect high-quality data and efficiently transform it into answers to make decisions faster and easier than ever before.
Complete Data Capture
The iC software suite makes it simple to gather all experimental data in the process lab thanks to its great usability and total automation. For quick and thorough experimental analysis, iC Vision effortlessly interfaces with iControl and other iC applications to ensure that all pertinent data is consolidated in real time.
- Smart software detects and saves interesting images
- Autofocus controls enable quality data collection for unattended and overnight experiments
- Make fast focus adjustments with Quick Focus or optimize clarity with manual fine tuning
- Add experiment notes, annotate images, or draw on images directly to provide context and detail to experiment data

iC Suite Ecosystem
iC Vision is a part of the iC Software Suite of experimental analysis and control applications supporting METTLER TOLEDO AutoChem best-in-class instruments. The iC Suite implements an approach similar to Microsoft Office, with each product tailored for its technology-specific requirements but all providing a similar intuitive user experience and effortless data exchange.
iC software integrates the entire experimental workflow making it simple to visualize, interpret and report results. A unified approach supports lab-to-plant applications for spectroscopy, particle system characterization, precise reactor control, and calorimetry.
iC Vision FAQs
Is the iC Vision software required to use an EasyViewer instrument?
Yes, in order to configure and collect images using an EasyViewer instrument, the instrument must be connected to a computer running the iC Vision software.
Can I use the iC Vision software to analyze experimental data on another computer?
Yes, additional copies of iC Vision software are available for purchase. Instrument licenses allow full control and analysis of data from EasyViewer instruments. Office licenses of iC Vision are also available for only analysis and reporting of completed experiments at a discounted price.
How can I get iC Vision experiment data into other systems such as my ELN or data warehouse?
iC Vision experiment trend data can be copied and pasted into Excel, or exported to the user in images (JPG or PNG files) or movie files (AVI format). Pinned images with notes can also be directly exported into a Microsoft PowerPoint file.
For automatic export of data, iC Data Center can be used to capture and process completed experiments for easy ingestion by other applications like electronic lab notebooks or scientific data management systems.
Can I show data from other iC instruments in iC Vision?
All software in the iC Suite of software can easily share data in real-time. Trends from one iC or iControl application can be added to iC Vision (and vice versa) at any time and will dynamically update. Data from third party applications can also be shown in the iC Vision trend viewer by using the iC data share or iC OPC UA utilities.
What are the computer requirements to run iC Vision software?
iC Vision will run on Microsoft Windows and although it is compatible with most mid- to high-performance laptops or workstations, an independent graphics card is recommended for optimal viewing. Please see the iC Vision datasheet for specific requirements.
How can I be sure to get the latest version of iC Vision available?

Stay up-to-date by ensuring that your iC Software is covered by a Software Care subscription. Users with a Software Care subscription will be proactively notified by email of any new releases and will have access to the downloads and licenses for any new versions released during their contract term.
iC software maintenance is included in the Software Care Standard offering. For additional enterprise-level features ask your METTLER TOLEDO representative about an iC Site License.
