Free and total SO2 in Beverages

Endpoint titration with a polarized Redox sensor

This application is used for the free and total sulfur dioxide (SO2) content determination in beverages. The titration is monitored by voltametric measurement with a current-polarized double Platinum pin sensor. The titration is terminated at a predefined potential.

Sulphur dioxide in wine is found in three different forms SO2, bisulphite HSO3- ion and sulphite SO32- ion. The total content of all these forms can be determined in wine using the given technique using Easy autotitrator.
