Conditioning in climate chambers is often neither reliable nor precise. Alternative methods, such as storing in desiccators over saturated salt solutions are time-consuming, work-intensive, and require a significant amount of lab-space.
In addition, these methods do not give any indication when the equilibration process has finished, nor does it provide any information about water uptake and moisture content of the material at equilibrium.
