TGA Is a Technique Which Monitors the Mass of a Substance as a Function of Temperature or Time

In this webinar, we will discuss the basic principles of TGA and present some interesting applications.
In this webinar, we will discuss the basic principles of TGA and present some interesting applications.

This live webinar introduces the concepts of Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA). TGA measures the mass of a sample as it is heated, cooled or held at a constant temperature in a defined atmosphere. The method is fast and can be used with very small amounts of a sample.

TGA is often used together with Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) because the two techniques provide complementary information, which often facilitates the interpretation of thermal events.

TGA Applications
This webinar presents several different application examples that demonstrate the analytical power and versatility of TGA/DSC. Properties and behavior that can be measured by TGA include composition, purity, decomposition reactions, decomposition temperatures, and moisture content.

Key Takeaways

  • Understand the basics of Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)
  • Learn why TGA is complementary to DSC
  • Gain exposure to TGA/DSC application examples from different industries

The presentation will conclude with Q&A time so participants can have their most pressing application questions answered. In this webinar, we will discuss the basic principles of TGA and present some interesting applications.
