ISM accessories are the cables, transmitters, adaptors, software, and simulator kits that support METTLER TOLEDO ISM sensors outside the measurement point. They cover three tasks: calibrating and maintaining sensors away from the process, integrating digital sensors into reactors and control systems, and verifying that a measurement loop is set up correctly.
ISM is METTLER TOLEDO's digital platform for analytical sensors. A microchip in the sensor head stores calibration data and runs predictive diagnostics such as the Dynamic Lifetime Indicator (DLI), the Adaptive Calibration Timer (ACT), and the Time to Maintenance (TTM) indicator. Because the measurement is digitized in the sensor, the signal is not affected by cable length, moisture, or electrical interference, and the diagnostics indicate when a sensor needs attention before the measurement is compromised.
Yes. Plug and Measure allows an ISM sensor to be calibrated in a clean, controlled location using ISM Core software and the appropriate iLink connection. The calibration data is stored in the sensor itself, allowing the sensor to be installed at the measurement point and placed into operation without on-site calibration.
ISM Core is METTLER TOLEDO's software for ISM sensors. The Essential version covers calibration and maintenance of ISM sensors away from the process, and visualizes sensor history together with maintenance and calibration diagnostics. The Advanced version adds guided calibration and maintenance routines, automated documentation, calibration records, and inventory management, and exports a sensor's calibration history as a PDF or to Excel.
ISM accessories support METTLER TOLEDO digital sensors for pH/ORP, dissolved oxygen, and dissolved carbon dioxide. Both 1-wire and RS-485 ISM sensors are supported, and the accessory required depends on the sensor connection type.
Yes. The J-Box BTLE allows an analog bioreactor or biocontroller to accept digital ISM pH sensors and optical dissolved oxygen sensors. This makes it possible to move a measurement point to digital technology without replacing the reactor or the control system.
A sensor simulator kit produces the same signal as a real analytical sensor. It is used to confirm that a transmitter, connecting cable, and measurement loop are configured correctly, and to reproduce a problem at a defined measuring value so that a fault can be isolated without placing a sensor in a test solution.
The ISM Core CFR version automatically generates calibration and maintenance protocols and maintains a sensor's calibration history in a digital record. This supports the documentation requirements of regulated pharmaceutical and biotechnology production.
For calibration and maintenance, select the iLink cable that matches your sensor connection (1-wire or RS-485) together with an ISM Core license. For integration into a reactor or controller, select an M100 SM sensor-mount transmitter, a junction box, or a sensor adaptor. For loop verification and troubleshooting, select the simulator kit for the parameter you measure.
