One Setup, Two Spectrophotometer Options

METTLER TOLEDO offers two spectrophotometers for these assays. Both cover the needed wavelength range and the methods needed. EasyPlus UV/VIS spectrophotometers suit routine, single-parameter measurements with one-button operation. The UV/VIS Excellence spectrophotometer add a wider data output range for advanced quality control work. Flow-through cells and InMotion autosamplers attach to UV/VIS Excellence for higher throughput. LabX software also integrates with the UV/VIS Excellence. LabX supports method management, result storage, and traceable, audit-ready results.
A lab can start with manual measurement on either instrument. Automation comes later, by moving to the UV/VIS Excellence line.

Which METTLER TOLEDO spectrophotometers work with these kits?

Both the EasyPlus UV/VIS spectrophotometers and the UV/VIS Excellence spectrophotometers run all six assays. Automation options and LabX integration apply only to the UV/VIS Excellence.

Do samples need dilution before testing?

It depends on the kit and the sample. Beer and milk samples often run undiluted, while wine and spirit samples typically need pre-dilution.

How long do the reagents stay stable?

Stability varies by kit and bottle. Some reagents last over two years below -10°C, others around four weeks at 4°C.

Does this replace outsourced lab testing?

It brings these six analytes in-house, with methods validated against MEBAK standards. Some specialized testing may still call for an outside lab.

Where can I buy the Megazyme® test kits?

METTLER TOLEDO does not sell the Megazyme® test kits directly. Order them from Megazyme, then run the assay on your METTLER TOLEDO spectrophotometer.
