On-line Silica and Phosphate Measurement
Two Parameters in One Analyzer
A major US cogeneration plant sought to replace aging silica analyzers that were costly to maintain and difficult to find parts for. Additionally, the plant aimed to improve phosphate measurement, which was previously done via grab samples and lab tests that were resulting in inconsistent results.
The chemist at the plant welcomed the chance to evaluate METTLER TOLEDO’s solution - the 2850Si. This analyzer combines on-line silica and phosphate measurement in one compact unit that is significantly smaller than typical silica analyzers, freeing panel space for other instruments.
