- Simatic PDM and AMS Intelligent Device Manager are universal tools for configuration, parameter assignment, commissioning, diagnostics and maintenance of intelligent field devices. The field devices are integrated with device-specific Device Description files (DD) supplied by the manufacturer of the field device.
