Crucibles serve as containers for samples during DSC and TGA measurements. They guarantee that the sensor is not contaminated during the measurement.

MP 120 μL crucible with pin.Set of 25 crucibles, lids and seals. The medium pressure crucible is sealed with a FPM O-ring. The maximum pressure is 2 MPa. The crucible can also be sealed without using an O-ring (self-generated atmosphere).
Medium pressure crucible with pin
The medium-pressure crucible with pin can only be used for DSC measurements, the pan can also be used without lid.
Single use crucible
When sealed with a lid and special seal, it is a single use crucible and cannot be regenerated. It withstands a maximum pressure of 2 MPa.
Perfect crucible for liquids
The medium-pressure crucible is the perfect tool for samples containing liquids such as water, for temperatures above boiling point.

Special die/plunger set required
In order to seal the crucible, the crucible sealing press must be equipped with a special die set (ArtNo: 119428).
Seal from FPM is included
The medium pressure crucible is sealed with a FPM O-ring. FPM is slightly permeable to water and, therefore, this seal is more suitable for other liquids.
PCTFE seals for water
If water causes an issue, it is recommended to use PCTFE (polytrifluorochloroethylene) seals, Art. No. 26933. PCTFE, however, shows a DSC melting peak at about 220 °C.
Crucible with self-generated atmosphere
The crucible can also be used without a seal (sealed with lid only). In this case, a self-generated internal atmosphere will forms.
