Manufacturing equipment such as tank scales are typically built from individual components.  Each component is usually pre-calibrated at the factory, but the combination of components (terminal, junction box, load cells, and cables) still requires calibration in order to operate optimally.  CalFree is based on factory calibration data of the weighing sensors.  CalFree™ Plus for POWERCELL load cells allows the weighing system to function and measure as soon as it is installed and connected. This allows for easy installation, fast start up and increases the overall efficiency and uptime of the plant. Manufacturing plants have a tight production schedule, where every minute counts.  Weighing sensors require an initial calibration for proper operation. Those activities have two challenges:
