iC Data Center
Turn Data Loss into Data Capture
An estimated 85% of lab data is lost because it is not transferred from lab instruments or is not recorded at all. iC Data Center makes day-to-day work significantly easier for researchers and their colleagues by ensuring all experiment data is automatically captured from the local instruments, prepared into useful formats, and shared on a central file store. With an easy-to-use client interface for configuration and ongoing monitoring of the lab, iC Data Center is a powerful tool that improves productivity for the researcher while facilitating knowledge management for the organization.

Automatically Collect Data
iC Data Center means users spend more time on chemistry and less time moving files or converting data into other formats. The flexible configuration allows organizations to specify standards for naming and data storage to minimize the time required to turn experimental data into useful information. The structured data storage on a network file share also enables scientists to find all of the data from their previously performed experiments in no time, whether from a lab computer or in their office.
Auto-Generate Reports
iC Data Center automatically prepares several files including a Microsoft Word report, Microsoft Excel data file, and an iC experiment file for further analysis as well as a structured, machine-readable XML file. All files are stored on a central file share for easy access by colleagues or uploaded to an electronic lab notebook (ELN) or data management system.

Email Notifications
In addition to all generated files being accessible from the web interface, iC Data Center can also send an email to the user with links to the experiment files. This makes experimental data from the lab easily accessible in the office, either for further analysis or for sharing with colleagues.
Utilization Dashboard
iC Data Center has a utilization dashboard for general monitoring of the system and experiments. Instrument utilization can be reviewed and experimental data can be accessed. The client allows the dashboard to be accessible from any computer. These utilization metrics are also automatically exported to CSV files on the server in any further analysis is desired in Excel or other tools.

iC Suite Ecosystem
iC Data Center is a part of the iC Software Suite of experimental analysis and control applications supporting METTLER TOLEDO AutoChem best-in-class instruments. The iC Suite implements an approach similar to Microsoft Office, with each product tailored for its technology-specific requirements but all providing a similar intuitive user experience and effortless data exchange.
iC software integrates the entire experimental workflow making it simple to visualize, interpret and report results. A unified approach supports lab-to-plant applications for spectroscopy, particle system characterization, precise reactor control, and calorimetry.
iC Data Center FAQs
Where does iC Data Center store the experiment data?
The location of the file share is determined by the iC Data Center administrator. It can be on the same computer as the iC Data Center or on another server or workstation.
How is iC Data Center deployed?
iC Data Center has two components – a server and a client application. The iC Data Center server is a service that can run on Microsoft Windows or Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and can be installed on one computer, on a server, or even on a virtual PC.
An iC Data Center client application is usually installed on the same system as the server, but it can also be installed and used from other computers for convenience. The client is not required to connect an iC application to iC Data Center to capture its data.
How is iC Data Center purchased?
iC Data Center is only available as a subscription through a site license. In addition to the use of iC Data Center, a site license allows unlimited use of the applicable iC Office application and Software Care coverage.
Pricing for a site license depends on the number and types of iC-supported instruments owned. Please contact your local sales representative for more information or a quote.
Can iC Data Center be used with my ELN or data warehouse?
Experimental data from reactor systems is automatically exported into Microsoft Word or Excel files for easy results sharing. iC Data Center can also export experimental data into XML files which can be parsed and read by other computerized systems.
iC Data Center can also import XML templates for new experiments with chemical information and certain procedure details from ELN systems that have been customized to provide the proper format.
