Pipette Service and Calibration Options

METTLER TOLEDO’s comprehensive range of service and calibration options are available on an as required, flexible basis. We offer both mail-in and onsite pipette service.

Calibration Levels

The work you perform determines which service and calibration level you require. METTLER TOLEDO offers 2x2, 2x4 and 3x10 (UKAS) calibration levels but others are available on request. See full details of our offering here.

Choose from one of the following:

  • 2x2 Calibration and Service - for general laboratory requirements
    Accuracy and linearity check - 2 gravimetric weighings @ 2 volumes to assess and adjust accuracy and linearity to manufacturer’s specifications.

  • 2x4 Calibration and Service - satisfies most GLP/GMP/QC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    Accuracy, precision and linearity check - 4 gravimetric weighings @ 2 volumes to assess and adjust accuracy, precision and linearity to manufacturer’s specifications.

  • 3x10 (UKAS) Calibration and Service - for more stringent QC SOPs up to UKAS level
    Accuracy, precision and linearity check - 10 gravimetric weighings @ 3 volumes to assess and adjust accuracy, precision and linearity to manufacturer’s specifications.
    The calibration certificate includes statements of measurement uncertainty per volume setting.

For multichannel pipettes, we will always service and calibrate every single channel on the pipette.

Whatever you choose for your pipettes they all receive a thorough overhaul with components being cleaned, repaired or replaced. The quality of repairs allows
METTLER TOLEDO to warranty each pipette for 12 months.
 

Service and Calibration Benefits

All METTLER TOLEDO service and calibration options benefit from the following:

  • Pipette inspection - thorough internal and external evaluation of functionality and parts.
  • Sealing system check - visual leak test.
  • Service - internal cleaning, replacement of worn parts and adjustment (parts charged as used, dependent on plan).
  • Documentation - dated service label affixed to pipette, detailed service & calibration report provided.
  • Traceability - UKAS accredited laboratory & operating procedure, full traceability of testing equipment and replacement parts.
  • Quality - thirty years of expertise. Your service performed under UKAS accredited laboratory conditions whatever level of calibration you choose.
