METTLER TOLEDO is pleased to announce the launch of the PowerBridge™ VTS100-PORT / VTS101-PORT, a factory-ready portable steel deck weighbridge, for the North American market. The VTS10x-PORT series provides numerous benefits for sites seeking a non-permanent system for legal-for-trade weighing of freight vehicles in commercial applications.
Whether for initial delivery or relocation after use, the VTS10x-PORT features a pre-assembled steel frame that enables easy one-piece rigging and lifting of scale modules with a suitable crane. Unlike other portable scales that require complex on-site assembly, the PowerBridge Factory-Ready Portable offers a smart modular design, allowing the integrated frame and scale deck module to be lifted together. This greatly reduces the time and labor needed to start weighing.
PowerBridge Factory-Ready Portable scales feature a steel frame with optional steel ramps and approaches (where required). The entire weighbridge can be installed on a solid, level surface, such as cement, asphalt, compacted gravel, and even dirt, provided it has sufficient load-bearing capability. This offers ultimate flexibility in scale placement without the added costs or delays associated with constructing a permanent scale foundation.

PowerBridge Factory-Ready Portable scales are equipped with either POWERCELL® PDX® (VTS101-PORT) or POWERCELL® GDD® (VTS100-PORT) smart digital load cell systems to maximize weighing accuracy and reliability. These POWERCELL load cells provide NTEP-approved dual-range weighing, with 10 lb increments at a 100,000 lb capacity or 20 lb increments at a 200,000 lb capacity. Each load cell features on-board sensors, signal processing, and patented digital compensation algorithms that maintain weighing accuracy over extended calibration intervals, even in harsh environments. Additionally, they feature METTLER TOLEDO exclusive StrikeShield™ lightning protection, independently lab-verified to withstand up to 80,000 amperes (POWERCELL PDX).
The METTLER TOLEDO VTS101-PORT / VTS100-PORT factory-ready portable weighbridges are manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, using high-quality American steel. Their modern orthotropic deck supports feature full-length continuous welds that prevent moisture ingress throughout the structure, while the factory-cured Sher-Loxane® coating provides a high-quality finish for long-lasting corrosion protection.
