While there is no pharmacopeia section referencing ozone concentrations for sanitization or normal operation, there are regulations and limits that indirectly affect ozone sanitizations:

  • Conductivity, TOC, and bioburden all have strict limits that must be abided by in order to remain in compliance with pharmacopeias globally.
  • It is impossible to have compliant levels of these measurements without effective sanitizations.
  • Each water system must have an assessment done to identify an effective sanitization schedule and ozone level for proper sanitization.
