How often should automated chemistry analyzers be serviced to ensure optimal performance?

AutoChem instruments are designed to perform within specifications for a minimum of one year between maintenance events. Scheduling your Preventive Maintenance (PM) visit every 12 months ensures that wear parts are replaced before they fail, measurements are calibrated, and the instrument is re-qualified - ensuring data is accurate and reproducible. For specific maintenance schedules, you can refer to the Preventive Maintenance Card for each instrument.

What type of support is available for automated chemistry equipment and in-situ probe analysis?

METTLER TOLEDO provides support throughout the entire equipment lifecycle—from installation and annual maintenance to repairs. We offer remote technical support to resolve issues without an on-site visit, where possible, and ensure repair success when a visit is necessary. Additional services include onsite training, software maintenance, pro-active parts replacement, and repair coverage.

What are the common signs that an automated chemistry or in-situ probe equipment needs service?

Generally, a missing PM sticker, or a PM sticker older than one year, indicates that the last IQ/OQ is no longer valid, by OEM recommendations. To ensure compliance with any fit-for-use policies, a PM should be scheduled every 12 months. It is recommended to follow the annual maintenance schedule to replace certain parts and perform tests that ensure the equipment continues to provide accurate and reproducible data. For detailed maintenance schedules and recommendations for each instrument, please refer to the Preventive Maintenance Cards.
