Digitalization of Lab Data

Solutions and Challenges

In this presentation we learn how leading pharmaceutical company Novartis is streamlining lab processes and improving data management through the use of digital technologies. Hear directly from Dietmar Flubacher, Senior Fellow at Novartis Process Development at Novartis,on their journey to connect their lab reactor systems and digitize their lab data to:

  1. Improve data accuracy and integrity: By digitizing data, it can be more easily and accurately tracked, stored, and analyzed, reducing the risk of human error and data loss.

  2. Increase efficiency: Digitalization allows for faster data entry, retrieval, and sharing, which can speed up research processes and enable more efficient collaboration between team members.

  3. Improve data analysis: Digital data can be easily analyzed using a variety of software tools and techniques, leading to more powerful insights and new discoveries.

  4. Improve compliance: Digitalization enables better compliance with regulatory requirements, by providing an audit trail of data changes and protecting the integrity of the data.

  5. Reduce Cost: Digitalization can help in reducing the cost associated with manual data entry, storage and retrieval.
