Live Webinar: Successful UV/VIS Microvolume Measurements

Setting up a Repeatable Workflow on a Spectrophotometer Microvolume Platform

Programme

  • Basics of microvolume UV/VIS measurements
  • How to effectively clean the sample area
  • Proper liquid handling
  • Tips and tricks for demanding samples

Microvolume measurements take place at a very small pathlengths, typically ≤ 1 mm. Reducing the pathlength has the same effect as diluting the sample for measurement in a conventional instrument. This allows saving sample and recovering the sample used for UV Vis spectrophotometry.

Due to the small sample size, microvolume measurements are sensitive by instances of air bubbles or bad sample handling. To ensure a stable workflow, measurements require consistent, small samples for precise and repeatable results.
