El cambio de peso y el flujo calorífico medidos en condiciones de prueba idénticas perfectas con un TGA/DSC aportan más información acerca de la composición, las transiciones de fase y las reacciones químicas. TGA
El análisis termogravimétrico (TGA) es una técnica que mide la variación del peso de una muestra cuando se calienta, se enfría o se mantiene a una temperatura constante. Se usa principalmente para la caracterización de materiales en lo que respecta a su composición. Entre sus áreas de aplicación se incluyen los plásticos, elastómeros y termoestables, los compuestos minerales y la cerámica, así como una amplia gama de análisis de las industrias química y farmacéutica.
El componente central de un sistema de análisis termogravimétrico es la célula de la balanza. Nuestros instrumentos TGA usan las mejores microbalanzas y ultramicrobalanzas del mundo de METTLER TOLEDO. Las pesas anulares de calibración interna garantizan una exactitud insuperable. Asimismo, puede calibrar y ajustar su balanza mediante pesas externas.
Ninguna otra TGA puede medir hasta 50 millones de puntos de resolución de forma continua: los cambios de peso en una muestra de 5 gramos se determinan a 0,1 µg. Esto significa que pueden medirse muestras pequeñas y grandes con idéntica alta resolución sin tener que cambiar los límites de peso de la balanza.
La balanza con guía paralela garantiza que la posición de la muestra no afectará a la medición del peso. Aunque la posición de la muestra se modifique durante la fusión, no se producirá ningún cambio en el peso.
El diseño horizontal del horno ayuda a reducir las posibles turbulencias causadas por el empuje de Arquímedes y el gas de purga. La unidad hermética puede evacuarse y purgarse con una determinada atmósfera gaseosa. Un sistema cerrado y controlado como este, con condiciones definidas de forma precisa, es esencial para obtener información clara y resultados de calidad.
Todas las versiones de TGA pueden conectarse en línea a un espectrómetro de masas, a un espectrómetro FTIR o a un sistema GC/MS. El análisis de los productos de la descomposición gaseosa proporciona información adicional sobre la muestra. con lo que se pueden interpretar las curvas de medida con mayor certidumbre.
