Polarographic Dissolved Oxygen Sensors

METTLER TOLEDO's polarographic dissolved oxygen sensors are membrane-based and use polarographic technology to determine dissolved oxygen levels. Oxygen diffuses through the membrane and is reduced at a cathode which is held at a defined potential. The measured reduction current is proportional to the partial pressure of oxygen in the media. This is an established and reliable measurement technology with high accuracy at low detection limits.

The METTLER TOLEDO polarographic dissolved oxygen sensors feature a membrane with high permeability to oxygen molecules which also acts as an oxygen reservoir. Replacement of the membrane has been made simple with METTLER TOLEDO's state-of-the-art interior sensor design, thereby reducing maintenance costs. It involves no complicated service procedures: the quick-disconnect interior body can be replaced in less than 5 minutes! The body design guarantees a good connection every time.

The polarographic dissolved oxygen sensors from METTLER TOLEDO are available for different ranges of oxygen concentrations (ppm and ppb values) and therefore the most suitable sensor for every application can be selected. The sensors are all of a hygienic design and are therefore suitable for hygienic applications. They are EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering Design Group) certified and meet 3-A hygienic requirements.

Thanks to Intelligent Sensor Management (ISM) technology, real-time sensor diagnostics provide all necessary information for deciding if a sensor is good for the next batch.
