Why Accurate Filter Weighing Is Important?

Many emissions standards focus on regulating pollutants released by motor cars and other powered vehicles. Others regulate emissions from industry, power plants, small equipment such as lawn mowers, and other sources of air pollution. Increased levels of fine particles in the air are linked to health hazards such as heart disease or altered lung function.
In order to protect human health and the environment as a whole, it is very important to combat emissions of pollutants at source and to identify and implement the most effective emission reduction measures. The World Health Organization (WHO) considers clean air "to be a basic requirement of human health and well-being" and provides guidelines for selected pollutants which are applicable across all WHO regions.

Air quality needs to be monitored and tested to ensure emissions do not exceed global standards. Emission testing includes filter weighing as part of the process. To comply with regulations, the smallest amount of Particulate Matter - solid particles and liquid droplets found in the air - needs to be weighed accurately.
