Process Development Seminar – Iselin, NJ
Process Development Seminar – Iselin, NJ

At the Process Development Seminar on May 9, interact with peers at the cutting edge of chemistry and chemical engineering.  Learn about recent innovations and improving efficiency in synthetic reaction development, process chemistry, crystallization, safety, and scale-up.

The program features presentations and case studies from experts, who will discuss:

  • How researchers are addressing current challenges in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries
  • Specific methods to modernize synthesis, sustain a culture of safety, and provide insight to every reaction or crystallization
  • Methods to help your company transform productivity and scale-up from lab to plant

This seminar is free of charge but registration is required.  Register today as space is limited.  The event will take place between 9am and 5pm on May 9.  Speakers include:

  • API Development Using Continuous Flow Technology
Fred Buono Ph.D - Senior Principal Scientist, Boehringer Ingelheim, Ridgefield, CT

  • Implementation of Process Analytical Technology (PAT) in the Pilot Plant to Improve Process Scale-up
Christopher Jordan - Assistant Production Leader Pilot Plant, Merck, Rahway, NJ

  • A New Data-Driven ParticleTrack Model to Study Crystallization Kinetics of API with Different Morphologies
Roberto Irizarry - Associate Principal Scientist, Merck, West Point, PA

  • A Combined High-Throughput and Mechanistic Approach Toward Developing Catalytic Processes for the Synthesis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients
Dave Leitch - US Lead for Chemical Catalysis and Continuous Primary, GlaxoSmithKline, PA

  • Fe Catalyzed, Non-Directed Amine C-H Oxidations: Radical Catalyst Initiation and Non-Radical C-H Cleavage in the same Mechanism
Marion H. Emmert - Chemistry & Biochemistry Associate Professor, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, MA

  • Process Development and Kinetic Understanding Using Automated Lab Reactors and Online FTIR
Eric Moschetta - Senior Scientist I,  Center for Reaction Engineering, Abbvie, Chicago, IL

  • Role of PAT in Process Development Across Modalities From Mechanistic Analysis to Online Process Control
Serge Zaretsky - Research Investigator II, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Princeton, NJ
