Accelerate Process Development with Flow Technologies

Continuous Flow Technologies Enable Creative Solutions for Hard Process Development Challenges

In this presentation, Grace Russell PhD of Snapdragon Chemistry presents a scalable, purified diazomethane production and consumption that is suitable for sensitive organic reactions. Snapdragon utilizes a commercially available membrane separator to extract diazomethane using nitrogen gas and produce it on a synthetically useful scale of 0.44 mol/hour. This powerful reagent is then consumed in a sensitive palladium catalyzed cyclopropanation reaction.

The presenter also discusses a system for automated optimization. This tool couples custom-made components and state-of-the-art technologies to create a reliable and universal sampling platform.
