Applications of DSC to Thermosetting Materials

In this work, several prepreg samples are investigated using simple DSC measurements. Apart from establishing, optimizing, and checking the formulation, the molding time for the curing and modling process and the storage stability of the prepregs can also be determined. The main expeimental quantities used for the evaluation are the heat of the curing and postcuring reactions. The glass transition temperature also yields useful additional information.
