BMI-CF: Influence of Storage Temperature on Tackiness of Prepregs

The processing of bismaleimid prepregs, for example for aircraft construction, requires layers to be sufficiently tacky (sticky) before curing. The tackiness decreases due to crosslinking of the resin.
The purpose of the application is to relate the “apparent” residual enthalpies after storage with the tackiness of the prepreg. To do this, the prepregs were stored at different temperatures for several months. This allows a criterion for storage conditions (temperature and time) to be found, under which the material can still be processed (the so-called outlife).
