Stamylan P46M10 as pellet,
injection-molded part, said to be a PP/PE copolymer

 

Conditions

Measuring cell: DSC20

Pan: Aluminum standard 40 μl, pierced lid

Sample preparation: Disk cut from pellet/part

DSC measurement: Heating from 30 to 300 °C at 10 K/min

Atmosphere: Air, 50 cm3/min

Conclusions

The two polymers are clearly different, i.e. the molded part is not made of Stamylan P46M10. 

DSC allows not only qualitative, but also semiquantitative analysis of copolymers to be performed.
