Profibus® PA - Device Description Files (DD)
This site contains the General Station Description (GSD) file and the Device Description (DD) files for the Siemens Simatic PDM tool of all METTLER TOLEDO Process Analytics transmitters with Profibus® PA interface.
GSD file:
- GSD is an abbreviation for the German term "Gerätestammdaten". A GSD is the device database file (also called 'Device Datasheet') for PROFIBUS® devices. The GSD file contains a description of the device-specific parameters for communication and network configuration.
Device Description (DD) files for Siemens Simatic PDM software:
- Simatic PDM is a universal tool for configuration, parameter assignment, commissioning, diagnostics and maintenance of intelligent field devices. The field devices are integrated with device-specific Device Description files (DD) supplied by the manufacturer of the field device.
