The app is primarily for process chemists, chemical engineers, and lab researchers who need to understand how mixing dynamics and heat transfer will behave when moving a process from small-scale lab reactors to larger vessels.

Do I need to install any software?

No. As a "Web App," it is accessible through a standard web browser, allowing for easier collaboration and access without the need for local desktop installations. Just login to your Dynochem account to access the DCResources site where the Mixing Web App can be accessed. 

What specific parameters can I model with this app?

The Mixing Web App focuses on two critical areas of process development:

  • Mixing: Evaluating impeller types, speeds, and power numbers to ensure adequate blending and mass transfer.

  • Heat Transfer: Modeling the cooling and heating capacities of different reactor setups to prevent thermal runaway or inconsistent yields.
