Specific Gravity Determination of Cosmetics
Specific Gravity Determination of Cosmetics

Determination of specific gravity is an important quality indicator used in routine analysis among different industries. Briefly, specific gravity determines the ratio between the density of a substance and the density of a reference substance, often water. If the temperature is not specified, the reference substance is assumed to be water at 3.98 ºC.

Dealing with samples of different consistencies is tedious for the operator, it can lead to measuring errors and unrepeatable results. The EasyPlus Density Meter (also known as a specific gravity meter) is an efficient solution to properly measure the specific gravity, density and other concentrations of different products. Including samples which are oily, paste-like and viscous – typical properties of cosmetics samples.
