How do metal detection systems for pharmaceuticals inspect pharma products?

Our advanced metal detectors are designed using a balanced-coil system, which allows for an accurate inspection for all your pharma applications.

The coils create a magnetic field that allows for metal contamination to become identifiable as it passes through the aperture. As the pharma products move through, any metal contaminants can be detected by the system.

Should the system detect metal contaminants in your pharma products, it will efficiently reject the contaminated application using a variety of advanced reject devices. These devices can range from a photogated air blast to a robotic reject arm, or a diverted flow of product.

Once the system detects metal contamination in your pharma products, a signal is sent which can trigger an audible alarm or visible beacon to make you aware that contamination has been found. Industrial metal detection can be an essential part of an overall product quality inspection program for the pharmaceutical industry.
