Quality Control by Thermal Analysis

On Demand Webinar

Manufacturers of various industrial products have to respond to the growing demands for product quality and performance. Thermal analysis is being used as a method for monitoring the quality of both materials and manufacturing processes to achieve maximum product quality and productivity. TA techniques provide fast, accurate and reproducible results.

The five main techniques of thermal analysis, DSC, TGA, TMA, DMA and Thermal Values are ideal for characterizing such materials.

In this Webinar, we will show how thermal analysis plays a role in the field of quality control and will present some typical examples of samples measured by DSC, TGA, TMA, or DMA and thermal values.

English

Thermal Analysis can be used for raw material identification and quality control studies in various industries. Just a small sample of a few milligrams is sufficient to measure the most important properties and characteristics of materials, for example the specific heat capacity, glass transition, expansion coefficient, melting, crystallization, decomposition, and elasticity.

In this web-based Seminar (Webinar), we will present the main techniques of thermal analysis and present some typical applications.

The Webinar covers the following topics:

  • Introduction
  • Industries and applications
  • Thermal analysis
  • Instrumentation and applications
    - Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
    - Thermogravimetry (TGA)
    - Thermomechanical Analysis (TMA)
    - Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA)
    - Thermal Values (Dropping point)
  • Summary
