This maintenance release for iC IR™ 3.0 software included a number of enhancements to system performance and usability.

iC IR™ 4.0 (Sep 2008)

iC IR™ 4.0 marked the first release of the unified 4.0 iC Suite. Not only was the version numbering matched-up plus major feature support between products with 4.0, but a new, more robust inter-product communications protocol was introduced that allowed seamless data sharing and control within the iC Suite. Features include:

  • Multiple vessel monitoring with MultiMaxIR™
  • Rapid scan mode allows fast reactions to be sampled up to 1Hz
  • RTD inputs for recording reaction temperature as trend and auto align detector support (ReactIR™ 45m)

iC IR™ 4.1 added support for two new D2i (Data to information) modules as well as usability enhancements requested from users. Features include:

  • Instrument Performance Assurance (IPA) module allows polystyrene calibration and validation to ensure optimal data quality
  • Support for ConcIRT Pro™ module for analyzing data from multiple experiment or multiple techniques
  • Data Treatments applied to reference spectra in experiments
  • View spectra in libraries in % Transmittance for easier comparison with standard spectra
  • Reporting to XPS read-only format with no need for MS Word to be installed

iC IR™ 4.2 (May 2010)

iC IR™ 4.2 added support for the new ReactIR™ 15 instrument and ReactIR™ 247 production instrument as well as the new iC Process™ module for control of production IR instruments. Features include:

  • Supports the DS Micro Flow Cell sampling technology

iC IR™ 4.3 added full support for Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems and included additions to ConcIRT functionality. Features include:

  • 'Goodness of Fit' value for ConcIRT™ models now shown
  • Auto-name components option for ConcIRT™ available

Specifically designed for the production environment, iC Process™ enables the transfer of critical control parameters determined in the laboratory. Using the iC Process for IR server to control ReactIR™ 247 allows the impact of these parameters on the process to be followed in production. Features include:

  • Easily transfer iC IR™ templates determined in the laboratory to the production environment
  • Authorized users can approve methods for execution on the instrument

Instead of storing all experiments and data in a database (which made it difficult to share results with others), 4.0 uses a single experiment data file similar to what is used by iC IR™ and iC Raman™ products. Features include:

  • Non-isothermal RTCal™ cp over Tr ramp and U online based on RTCal™

This service pack for iC Raman™ 4.1 software added support for Windows 7 32-bit for Instrument and Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit support for Office copies. It also included an update for the Kaiser Analyzer Controller and addressed issues with real-time communication with the new iC FBRM™ 4.2 and iC IR™ 4.3 versions.
