Pharmaceutical Metal Detectors

Pharmaceutical metal detectors for inspecting tablets, capsules, API and powders to seamlessly meet compliance requirements

Our pharmaceutical metal detection systems offer a fully integrated "inspect and reject" solution for manufacturers of tablets, capsules, and powdered APIs. These metal detectors make compliance easier and are capable of detecting metal less than 0.3 mm in diameter. The compact footprint and low-profile design enables them to occupy smaller spaces in your factory with a robust, quality build for long-term reliability.

FAQs

Where are pharmaceutical metal detectors placed on a production line?

The placement of pharmaceutical metal detection systems, sometimes called capsule metal detectors, tablet metal detectors, or API metal detectors, would heavily depend on the pharma metal detector being used and the format of the product being inspected.

METTLER TOLEDO Safeline's Tablex 2 and Tablex-PRO metal detectors should be installed after tablet presses, de-dusters, and other pharmaceutical processing equipment to support manufacturers in complying with the needs of both internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

Pharma GF-PRO metal detection systems are commonly used to inspect bulk pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products in powder or granular formats in-flight, including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).

Do pharmaceutical metal detectors fit in smaller production spaces?

METTLER TOLEDO Safeline's Tablex 2 and Tablex-PRO metal detectors are available in three standard aperture sizes to accommodate a wide variety of tablet and capsule sizes and throughput rates. There is also a choice of two interchangeable reject devices to suit all product types, applications, and configurations.

Our Pharma GF-PRO metal detectors provide the efficient inspection of powdered and granular pharmaceutical products under free-fall conditions, a process as important as inspecting tablets and capsules. Pharma GF-PRO metal detectors are compact in size, so they can be installed in restricted spaces. Apertures are available in a choice of two standard sizes to accommodate a wide variety of throughputs. A fully integrated high-speed reject device can also be incorporated to divert contaminated product flow.
