Eliminate Sampling Challenges

Eliminate Sampling Challenges

Air or moisture-sensitive organometallic reactions are labor-intensive or impossible to manually sample without affecting reaction progression.  Chemists face careful sampling operations and various handling steps, especially when gathering enough sampling points for impurity profiles.

These sampling challenges have been eliminated with an automated inline probe-based method of taking representative samples from reactions under inert conditions where manual sampling is difficult. Two application notes discuss how Janssen and Servier Pharmaceuticals sample without affecting reaction progression:

  • Reaction Profiling of a High Temperature Buchwald-Hartwig Slurry, Janssen Pharmaceutical
  • Endpoint Detection of an Air-Sensitive Ester Reduction, Servier Pharmaceutical
