To show how storage tests at different temperatures followed by DSC measurements can determine how long prepregs can be used.
The processibility of prepregs in normal processes is only guaranteed and possible for a certain period (the so-called “out-life”). On the one hand, the conditions for storage must be specified. On the other hand, before the actual application, one should be able to check whether the prepreg is still suitable for use. In practice, a rapid measurement of the residual chemical reactivity (postcuring reaction enthalpy) can characterize the chemical history of a material.
