Chemically Induced Glass Transition in an Isothermal Curing Reaction Measured by TMDSC

To demonstrate the simultaneous investigation of an isothermal reaction and heat capacity using temperature-modulated DSC.
The investigation of the chemically induced glass transition when vitrification occurs during an isothermal curing reaction using conventional DSC requires a series of postcuring measurements (Section 4.2.4.1). Temperature-modulated DSC allows simultaneous measurement of the reaction heat flow and the specific heat capacity. This is shown using an isothermal measurement of the DGEBA-DDM epoxy resin system at 100 °C as an example.
