Flere oplysninger

What is dynamic parcel dimensioning? What is dynamic parcel weighing?

Dynamic parcel dimensioning and dynamic parcel weighing are automatic processes that are typically performed without manual intervention or a dedicated operator. In some cases a dynamic dimensioning, weighing and scanning systems can be configured to stop if a parcel is missing vital data so that an operator can intervene and enter missing information. In highly automated processes, the system can send a signal to the sorter to divert a package that it was not able to read or measure for re-sort or for a manual check.

What does DWS stand for?

DWS stands for dimensioning, weighing, and scanning. DWS systems are combination systems that your parcels' dimensioning, weighing and scanning data in one streamlined process.

What does read rate mean? Why is a high read rate important?

Read rate is the percentage of parcels of which your dimensional weight system or DWS system can reliably capture dimensioning, weighing and scanning information as they move along the conveyor. The higher the read rate of your DWS system, the higher the potential for both revenue recovery and smooth parcel flow. Read rate will have a direct effect on return on investment. To ensure maximum read rate, when evaluating a solution, consider whether it can measure all shapes and surfaces, decode damaged barcodes, and reliably measure at low speed.

Can you dimension with cross belt and flat belt applications?

Yes, you can dimension with cross belt and flat belt applications. The TLD950 has legal-for-trade approvals for both applications.

What are the advantages of using our dynamic parcel dimensioning systems?

With improved precision, larger optics and a powerful, embedded processor, the TLD950 from METTLER TOLEDO provides the highest read rates and precision in its class for fully automated material handling as well as maximum revenue recovery.

How fast can the dynamic parcel weighing capture measurements?

The TLD950 SingleHead and MultiHead systems can measure at speeds up to 655 ft/min or 3.3 m/s to keep throughput high and maximize your uptime.

Can your dynamic dimensioning system scan multiple objects at the same time?

By combining a wide dynamic range with large optics, the TLD950 accurately measures some of the most challenging reflective and light absorbent surfaces, including difficult to read black plastic. It is also approved for measuring non-cuboidal and other objects of irregular shape.

Can the dynamic parcel weighing system measure irregular items?

By combining a wide dynamic range with large optics, the TLD950 accurately measures some of the most challenging reflective and light absorbent surfaces, including difficult to read black plastic. It is also approved for measuring non-cuboidal and other objects of irregular shape.

Is the dynamic dimensioning system NTEP and MID (Weights & Measures) certified?

Yes, the TLD950 parcel dimensioning systems are NTEP and MID certified.

What size of objects can you measure with the METTLER TOLEDO dynamic dimensioning system?

The TLD950 dimensional weight systems measure objects as small as 2.4” x 2.4” x 1.2” or 50 x 50 x 20 mm and as large as 146” x 63” x 43” or 4000 x 1600 x 900 mm. For the full details on measurable parcel sizes for legal-for-trade applications, view the TLD950 datasheet.
