Choosing the right crucible guarantees the best results
METTLER TOLEDO offers a wide variety of crucibles that serve as sample containers for thermoanalytical measurements.
The type of crucible used for a measurement can have a significant effect on the quality of the results obtained and can also influence important characteristics of the DSC signal.
Gold is chemically resistant and does not react with the sample at all.

Gold is the preferred material for reactive samples and aqueous liquids
- Inert –no interaction of the sample with the crucible
- Material – guarantees high thermal conductivity
- Flatness – ensures perfect thermal contact and no artifacts

Gold or gold plated crucibles don't react with the samples.

Detailed information:
The gold crucibles can be used up to 750 °C.
The gold plated aluminum crucible can be hermetically sealed through cold welding. The maximum temperature is 350°C and the permissible pressure is 0.3 MPa.
