Tips for Trees

How You Can Help Global Reforestation

Join Rainin ANZ in supporting reforestation across the globe. For every 20 green tips sold and every reused pipette servicing box returned, we’ll plant a tree in partnership with Tree Nation.

At Rainin, sustainability is part of how we design and deliver solutions. Tips for Trees is our practical, measurable program that reduces waste, supports circular practices, and helps restore forests. By linking product use and reuse to real-world tree planting, we make it easy for customers to contribute to climate action and biodiversity restoration.

Impact You Can Track

We commit to transparent reporting. Each planting contribution is recorded and tracked via Tree Nation’s platform, including:

Number of trees planted including their locations & species
Total area of reforested land
Total CO2 captured by reforestation efforts
Claimed CO2 in forests

How Does It Work?

Tips for Trees

For every 20 boxes of Rainin green tips (EarthRack and TerraRack) purchased in ANZ, Rainin will fund the planting of one tree through Tree Nation.

Reuse, Reforest

Every time a customer returns or reuses a pipette servicing box, Rainin will fund the planting of one tree through Tree Nation.

Both parts of the program are tracked and verified through Tree Nation’s planting projects to ensure transparency and impact.

Why Does This Matter?

Supporting our program reduces waste and the environmental footprint of lab operations in a number of ways

Forests capture carbon dioxide and help stabilise our climate, and restored forests protect native species and ecosystems
EarthRack is a biodegradable pipette tip rack made form reformed cellulose, as seen in the adjacent video. Switching can reduce lab waste by up to 85%
TerraRack is made from 100% recyclable PETE plastic, and uses up to 50% less plastic than convential racks
Reusing pipette servicing boxes avoids creating single use boxes, reducing waste

Which products qualify for Tips for Trees?

Rainin EarthRack and TerraRack green tips purchased in the Australia & New Zealand qualify for Tips for Trees. To learn more about our sustainable tips, click here.

Where will the trees be planted?

Trees planted as part of the Tips for Trees program will be planted in the Big Scrub Rainforest in NSW, Australia, and the trees from the Reuse, Reforest program will be planted in the Forest Gardens of the Simiyu region in Tanzania.

Can I get a certificate for trees planted from my purchases?
