Webinar – Thermal Analysis

Using Thermal Analysis to Achieve Improved Materials and Processes

Thermal analysis comprises a group of techniques in which a physical property of a substance is measured as a function of temperature or time.

Webinar Overview

Thermal analysis can be used for the quality control and research of almost any type of material. Just a small sample of a few milligrams is sufficient to measure the most important properties and characteristics of a substance, for example the specific heat capacity, glass transition, decomposition, expansion coefficient and elasticity.

In this webinar, we will present the main techniques of thermal analysis and present some typical applications.

Key Takeaways

  • Learn how thermal analysis can be used in the field of materials characterization
  • Gain insight into what effects can be measured by TA
  • Understand the advantages of the four main TA techniques: DSC, TGA, TMA and DMA

Additionally, METTLER TOLEDO offers a series of guides for specific industries and topics. Displayed below, these booklets provide a valuable opportunity to learn from our application experts who have decades of experience in thermal analysis.
