Case Study on High Reliability from TDL O₂ Analyzer

Measuring gas
Measuring gas

When measuring gas, oxygen sensor accuracy and measurement response time is critical, especially when there is a risk of explosion.

Italyʼs Italmatch is a leading supplier of performance additives for the lubricant, plastics, water and oil industries. They required an improved oxygen analyzer and sampling system to reduce measurement time and increase accuracy for phosphorus pentasulfide production in its plant in Spoleto. METTLER TOLEDO introduced them to our GPro 500 tunable diode laser (TDL) gas analyzers. The growing GPro 500 series of analyzers offers TDLs with a wide range of process adaptions. This gives the series exceptional flexibility in respect to application suitability and installation possibilities.

A demonstration of the GPro 500 at Italmatchʼs Spoleto facility convinced the company’s instrumentation team that the analyzerʼs ease of use, speed of response, and low maintenance would meet all their needs. Download the case study to read the full details.

Measuring gas and controlling the level of harmful or explosive gases in your process is key to ensuring the safety of the environment, people, and assets, and increasing process efficiency. METTLER TOLEDO offers a unique range of gas analysis solutions.

METTLER TOLEDO’s choice of technologies for measuring gas all feature the ability to measure in situ, without the need for gas sampling or conditioning. The GPro 500 tunable diode laser (TDL) analyzers provide the highest level of reliability and fastest response time in process control and safety applications. The analyzers measure a number of gases including O2, HCI, H2S, CO, H2O, CO%, CO2%, NH3, and CH4.
