ICS226 - Warranty

ICS226 and ICS241 Product Warranty

Mettler-Toledo, LLC ("Company") warrants ICS226 and ICS241 products ("Product(s)") in the United States and Canada will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use, for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment ("Warranty Period").
         
Coverage

If any Product fails to conform to this warranty within the first ninety (90) days of the Warranty Period, Company will, at its option, repair or replace such Products returned.

If any Product fails to conform to this warranty after the first ninety (90) days of the Warranty Period, Company's warranty obligation for the remainder of the Warranty Period shall be limited to furnishing necessary replacement parts free of charge.

In the event Product is repaired by Company, the performance of such repair work will not extend existing nor generate new warranty coverage for the Product as a whole or for those parts not repaired or replaced by Company.

Company shall have a reasonable time to perform its warranty obligations hereunder.  If a warranty claim is made within the first ninety (90) days of the Warranty Period, the Buyer is responsible for shipping the Product(s) to Company and Company is responsible for shipping the Product(s) to the Buyer.

Replacement Parts

Company warrants replacement parts for the Products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of shipment.

If any replacement part fails to conform to this warranty, Company shall furnish necessary replacement parts free of charge.

General

This warranty is subject to the following conditions:

  • Buyer shall provide Company prompt written notice which includes a detailed description of the problem upon discovery of a defect within the Warranty Period.

  • This Warranty will not apply where Company’s Product has been subjected to: accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, failure on the part of Buyer to ensure proper storage, operation and/or maintenance, installation or servicing by other than Company authorized personnel, the addition or supply of equipment not approved for incorporation into Company’s Product or integration into the Buyer’s environment.

  • The Product or part must not be operated above rated load capacity.

  • The Product must not have been repaired or serviced by anyone other than Company or one of its authorized dealers.

ABSENT A SEPARATE WARRANTY ISSUED TO BUYER BY COMPANY, COMPANY EXPRESSLY WARRANTS THE PRODUCTS AND THE SERVICES PERFORMED BY IT TO BUYER SOLELY AS SET FORTH HEREIN.  COMPANY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES AS TO MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE).  THESE WARRANTIES MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO A SUBSEQUENT PURCHASER OF THE EQUIPMENT ONLY WITH THE PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT OF COMPANY.  IN ADDITION, THE FOLLOWING SHALL CONSTITUTE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES OF BUYER FOR ANY BREACH BY COMPANY OF ITS WARRANTY HEREUNDER.

Please provide the following information in your email:

    •  Product Model

    •  Product Serial Number

    •  Original Order Number

    •  Purchase Data

    •  Detailed explanation of Product or part failure

If your product is authorized for return, your customer service representative will either email or fax you the Returns Form including an Equipment Return Authorization Number (ERA) to include with our returned Product(s) or inform you about the replacement parts shipment.  All products returned for replacement must be returned in their original containers and include all original documentation and/or parts.

If you are provided a Returns Form with an ERA, ship your product to:
