Crucibles serve as containers for samples during DSC and TGA measurements. They guarantee that the sensor is not contaminated during the measurement.
Crucible MP 120 uL, SST, 25 pcs
MP 120 μL crucible.Set of 25 crucibles, lids and seals. The medium pressure crucible is sealed with an FPM O-ring. The maximum pressure is 2 MPa. The crucible can also be sealed without using an O-ring (self-generated atmosphere).
Medium-pressure crucible
Can be used as a medium-pressure crucible (sealed with a lid, for DSC measurements) or as an open pan (for DSC or TGA measurements).
Single use crucible
When sealed with a lid and special seal, it is a single use crucible and cannot be regenerated. It withstands a maximum pressure of 2 MPa.
Perfect crucible for liquids
The medium-pressure crucible is the perfect tool for samples containing liquids such as water, for temperatures above boiling point.

Special die/plunger set required
In order to seal the crucible, the crucible sealing press must be equipped with a special die set (Art No: 119428).
Seal from FPM is included
The medium-pressure crucible is sealed with an FPM O-ring. As FPM is slightly permeable to water, this seal is more suitable for other liquids.
PCTFE seals for water
If water causes an issue, it is recommended that you use PCTFE (Polychlorotrifluoroethylene) seals, Art. No. 26933. PCTFE, however, shows a DSC melting peak at about 220 °C.
Crucible with self-generated atmosphere
The crucible can also be used without a seal (sealed with lid only). In this case, a self-generated internal atmosphere will form.
