How to Perform Color Measurements with UV/VIS Excellence Spectrophotometers

In this video, you will learn how to determine the color of a sample with our UV/VIS Excellence spectrophotometers.

We will demonstrate this analysis with the color determination of an electrolyte. As decomposition progresses, the color of the electrolyte turns yellowish. Therefore, we will measure the yellowness index of the electrolyte. This parameter can be used for quality control purposes, as the degree of decomposition reflects the water content within the sample.

How to Measure Color with a UV/VIS Excellence Spectrophotometer?

How to Perform Fixed Wavelength Measurements with UV/VIS Excellence Spectrophotometers

In this video, you will learn how to set up a method for measuring the absorbance at several wavelengths and how to calculate multiple results.

For example, we have chosen the analysis of olive oil samples from our application library.

How to Perform Quantification with UV/VIS Excellence Spectrophotometers

In this video, you will learn how to set up a quantification method with your own calibration curve to quantify an analyte according to the Beer-Lambert law.

The analysis is demonstrated with the quantification of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances, called PFAS for short.

How to Perform Scan Measurements with UV/VIS Excellence Spectrophotometers

In this video, you will learn how to measure a full spectrum with our array spectrophotometers.

A full spectrum is very useful to identify the wavelength of a peak maximum to record a calibration curve. For this purpose, we will measure one standard solution of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances, abbreviated PFAS.
